Birding with the Board

  • Island County Rhododendron Park 502 West Patmore Road Coupeville, WA USA (map)

Come bird with the Whidbey Audobon Society Board members.

Join the Whidbey Audubon Society board members for a morning of casual birding and socializing on Friday, April 19, at Rhododendron Park, at 9 a.m. Meet in the parking lot at 502 West Patmore Road, Coupeville, for snacks and conversation before heading out to explore the woodland trails of the park.  It may be a bit early to enjoy the park’s signature rhodies in bloom, but the woods are bound to be busy with early spring bird activity. Trails connect to open farm fields which are part of the Walking Ebey’s Trail system. The variety of habitat should make for good birding opportunities. Those who do not wish to go so far afield can scope out the forest fringes around the parking lots and ball fields in search of spring denizens. Your board is looking forward to sharing a pleasant spring morning with you!
