Page Peepers

Join us for our book club, Page Peepers, via Zoom. Our host is Patty Cheek. Gatherings are the fourth Wednesday of every other month at 7:00 pm.

A different kind of book for Page Peepers, A Long Call by Ann Cleeves, is a mystery including an albatross tattoo on the victim and gulls that use their long calls to alarm the characters in the book. It is a complex novel with so much back history of the characters (well developed by Cleeves) – a detective rejected by his family because of his sexual history, two women with Down syndrome, and a victim who is guilt ridden over something he did. It includes many issues that are blended well in the story. And, best of all, it includes birds. Come join us even if you don’t read the book. Perhaps you’ll get your interest piqued.
